Art in the Library
Art in the Library is a self-supporting non-profit program of the Peabody Memorial Library. It was designed to give the local artists a place to exhibit their artwork, to promote the understanding and appreciation of the visual arts in our communities, to stress the importance of art in our lives and in the lives of our children, and to increase library usage and appreciation.
The Art in the Library “Meet the Artists” receptions are free and presented as a public social event for the enjoyment of all of the community.

Submission Guidelines
Artwork: Must be two dimensional, be original, no copies from other artists or publications. Work must be labeled on the back with name and a release form must be signed before leaving any work.
Work must be framed. Watercolor and photography should be matted and under glass or plexiglass. All work must be WIRED. No saw tooth hangers. Top center of the wire should be near the top of the frame. Please check our hanging system to make sure your wiring is adequate. Improperly wired art work will not be accepted. All work is subject to review for appropriateness of subject or quality.
Size: Two works measuring no more than 16×20 ID or one larger work. Works over 24X36 OD are not recommended and will be used on a space available basis only.
Publication: Submission of your work automatically constitutes your authorization for us to use your art work for the purpose of press and promotional releases for our exhibit. To be included in our brochure please submit a biography at least 30 days prior to turn in date.
Fee: There is no entry fee. We do however request a 15% donation from all sales to help defray our expenses in displaying the art. Artists are responsible for sales tax if applicable.
We do not have storage space and a fee will be charged for work not picked up at the proper time. We cannot ship.
